SYSTEMS
1. CABLE SYSTEMS
– FIXED LENGTH
Cable
System 1 – Swage
Eyes. Eyes machined from Grade 316 Stainless Steel. Exact eye to eye
dimension must be specified.
Cable System 2 – Swage Forks.
Fork and fork system allowing movement in one plane only. Exact pin
to pin dimension must be specified.
Cable System 3 – Swage Toggles.
Toggle and toggle system allows for movement in two planes. Exact
pin to pin dimension must be specified.
2. CABLE SYSTEMS – ADJUSTABLE LENGTH
Cable System 4 – Threaded Swage
Terminals. Simple adjustment is obtained by adjusting nuts. Threaded
swage terminals can be threaded directly into suitably threaded anchorages.
Cable System 5
– Toggle/swage turnbuckle and swage toggle. Turnbuckles provide
excellent adjustment from one end and are available in Type 1, Type
2 and Commodity Grade styles. Swage toggles have the same toggle ends
as turnbuckles for uniformity and aesthetics.
Cable System 6 – System as above
with Type 2 turnbuckle in lieu of Type 1 turnbuckle. Note – Toggle
shown in side elevation.
Cable System 7 – System as above
with Type 3 turnbuckle in lieu of Type 1 turnbuckle and forks in lieu
of toggles.
Note - System only available as a completed cable assembly.
3. ROD SYSTEMS – ADJUSTABLE
LENGTH
Rod System 1
– Threaded rod with spanner flats and threaded fork ends.
Tension is achieved by using the spanner flats to rotate the bar.
Supplied with aesthetic conical lock nuts and double headed pins.
Available in bar sizes 3/16 in. (4.8mm) to 1 1/4 in. (31.8mm).
Rod System 2 – Threaded rod with
spanner flats and threaded eye ends. Tension is achieved by using
the spanner flats to rotate the bar.
Supplied with aesthetical conical lock nuts and threaded eye ends.
Available in sizes 3/16 in. (4.8mm) to 1 1/4 in. (31.8mm).
Rod System 3 – Threaded rod with
central joiner; required for rod lengths in excess of 6m (18ft). Note
– can be supplied with
turnbuckle body for additional adjustment. Available in sizes 3/16
in. (4.8mm) to 1 1/4 in. (31.8mm).
4. BALUSTRADE SYSTEM
EXAMPLES

1 – Swage terminals tensioned with threaded terminal adjusters.
Balustrade System
2 – Microloc Turnbuckle body/Microloc swage terminal and
Microloc swage fork with saddle connections.
Balustrade System 3 – Microloc
Tamper-Resistant thread-mount turnbuckles with thread connection to
posts.
Balustrade System 4 – Microloc
Tamper-Resistant clevis pin-mount turnbuckles with anchor bolt connections.
Balustrade System 5 – Type 1 toggle/swage
turnbuckle and swage/toggle with welded lug connections.
Balustrade System 6 – Threaded
swage terminals, tensioned by external nuts.
Balustrade System 7 – Type 1 toggle/swage
turnbuckle each end for extra tension on longer runs, with anchor
bolt connections.
Balustrade System 8 – Microloc
fork/fork turnbuckle and thimble/ferrule eyes with saddle connections.
